The Vision

Old Buckenham Hall School wanted to revitalise their playground by introducing bold, colourful, and safe wet-pour surfacing. The aim was to create a visually engaging play space that would encourage creative, active, and free play while ensuring high safety standards.

The Solution

Caloo supplied and installed high-performance wet-pour surfacing, providing impact absorption, durability, and vibrant aesthetics. The surfacing was constructed using:

• A base layer of recycled tyre rubber, ensuring sustainability and shock absorption.
• A coloured top layer of finer rubber granules, creating a bright, engaging play area.
• Compliance with BS EN 1177:2008 safety standards, guaranteeing maximum safety performance.

Overcoming Challenges

To minimise disruption and ensure a seamless installation, the project was scheduled during the school holidays. This allowed the installation team to work efficiently across the site without interrupting school activities or posing risks to pupils.
